Another big fire in the port of Beirut

Locals said the fire was caused by the re-welding work carried out after the first explosion on August 4.

The shipping industry is concerned that another explosion similar to the first might occur in another port, but a similar explosion in the same port immediately after the first explosion was a disaster for the city and people here.

Al Jazeera reported, the Lebanese army said the latest fire was caused by an oil and tire warehouse located in the duty-free area of ​​the port.

Beirut's new director - Bassem Kaissi - who was appointed after the August 4 explosion, said that the fire broke out in an area of ​​the port that was hired by BCC Logistics, which was working on engraving recovery at the scene.

It is unclear exactly what is on fire and firefighters are cautious after further reports of chemicals in the area are reported, but it is not thought that there are many explosives in the area.
