Container throughput at China's eight main ports fell 0.6 percent in late October year-on-year
Container throughput at China's 8 main ports decreased by 0.6% in late October compared to the same period in 2020.

In late October, container throughput at China's eight major ports fell 0.6 percent year-on-year.
Export container volume decreased by 0.8% while domestic volume decreased by only 0.1% in late October. In which, the port of Tianjin and Dalian had the growth rate of container volume export more than 10%.
Cargo throughput at central coastal ports increased by 4.8% year-on-year while international trade cargo throughput increased by 3%.
Crude oil shipments at major coastal ports grew again and increased 15.1% over the same period last year. Rizhao Port achieved a growth rate of more than 100%. Inventories at the port decreased by 6.7%.
Metal ore shipments at major Chinese ports increased by 8.9% while port inventories increased by 15.2%. Ningbo-Zhoushan port and Rizhao port have a growth rate of more than 20%.
At the end of October, cargo throughput through three ports on the Yangtze River, Nanjing, Wuhan and Chongqing rose slightly by 0.6%. Container throughput fell 1.6% year-on-year.
