Cosco Shipping and Changan Auto signs agreement to develop the automotive supply chain

According to the agreement, the two parties will establish a joint venture company, Guangzhou Zhiyuan'an Supply Chain Company in Nansha free trade zone, Guangzhou, and integrate the outstanding resources of the two parties to develop the joint venture becoming the leading platform for the entire automotive supply chain, providing on-demand and digitalized logistics services for Changan Auto's auto exports.

China's automobile exports are entering a new stage of development and the international market share is constantly increasing, providing solid support for China's automobile exports. The establishment of the new joint venture will strengthen direct communication between automakers and shipping companies, and achieve coordinated development between state-owned companies, commented Cosco Shipping Special Carriers.

Changan Auto is one of the four largest automobile manufacturers in China, the major shareholder of Changan Mingsheng Logistics, a professional third-party automotive logistics service provider.

Cosco Shipping Special Carriers operates a fleet of more than a hundred vessels, including multi-purpose and heavy lift vessels, semi-submersible vessels, pure car carriers, logs carriers as well as asphalt carriers. Its specialized vessel fleet ranks as the largest in the world.
