COSCO SHIPPING participates in the China Brand Day event

COSCO SHIPPING showcased many eco-friendly projects during the China Brand Day that opened on May 10 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai city. COSCO SHIPPING displays multiple environmental-friendly projects.

COSCO SHIPPING Lines has introduced Protecting Blue Whales and Blue Skies (BWBS) voluntary Vessel Speed Reduction Program, demonstrating applications in noise reduction ships, reducing emissions and reducing the risk of collisions with blue whales.

COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers emphasizes its commitment to green development. Our digital management system tracks and evaluates the carbon emissions of more than 100 ships in operation worldwide. In March, the company signed with partners the Green and Low Carbon Development Initiative.

COSCO SHIPPING Development has introduced the world's first 700TEU all-electric container ship ZHONG YUAN HAI YUN LV SHUI 01, which reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 2,918 tons per year, equivalent to the emissions of 2,035 cars. That's like planting 160,000 trees.

COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry showcased dual methanol-fueled vessels, including Aframax, 330k VLOC, 24,000 TEU container ships, and more, aimed at reducing emissions from the shipping industry and the entire supply chain.

COSCO SHIPPING Technology has introduced the Low Carbon Platform, an energy consumption data management platform for ships, providing digital and customized energy consumption solutions.

COSCO SHIPPING Ports has introduced its green applications. The total installed capacity of distributed solar installations on our inland ports reaches 10 megawatts, generating approximately 9 million kWh per year, equivalent to a reduction of 5000 tons of CO2.
