Kuehne + Nagel launches an online quotation platform for intra-Asian shippers
Kuehne+Nagel has launched a new online logistics platform to meet the needs of shippers in Asia. The new platform eShipAsia connects shippers to 20 countries and allows them to compare schedules and rates between 2,220 port pairs, 7,500 services and 54 different carriers.
Instant quotes are immediately provided with full transparency on the surcharge and they can be saved or booked instantly by the customer. “As one of the largest trading regions in the world, intra-Asia is a very dynamic and fragmented market, characterized by business transaction models. This makes it very difficult and time-consuming for shippers to find and choose the best shipping service, ”said Casper Ellerbaek, senior vice president of Kuehne+Nagel Asia Pacific. Seafreight said.
The system also provides advanced online search and tracking systems. Jens Drewes, President of Kuehne + Nagel Asia Pacific, said: “Users from our pilot test reaffirmed that eShipAsia allows them to make better and faster decisions because of the platform. Optimize their intra-Asia shipments based on route, shipping time and cost.
This platform is available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Korea and China and in local languages.
