ONE suspends to receive booking for goods imported into Myanmar

Shipping company ONE (Ocean Network Express) has halted receiving shipping bookings for goods imported into Myanmar due to disruptions from the protests.
In a statement, ONE said that the suspension of this booking was due to "“severe disruptions caused by the protests, port terminals operating close to full capacity, limited availability of road transportation resources as well as internet and banking services being shut.”
The company said it will try to deliver shipments that are in transit, although delays may occur during transit and on arrival in Myanmar.
ONE Line is a consolidated carrier from 3 container shipping lines K Line, MOL and NYK of Japan.
The situation in Myanmar is becoming more complicated, with many protests in the country since the military coup in February. More than 2,000 people have been arrested for involvement in the protests, and more than 200 have been killed by the military and police forces, according to the Burma Association for Supporting Political Prisoners (AAPP).
