OOCL (Orient Overseas Container Line) reported its revenue in the first quarter of 2022 increased sharply by 71% compared to the same period in 2021, surpassing 5.16 billion USD.

“This record result was achieved despite severe congestion around the network, which drove down liftings by 9.2% and loadable capacity by 6.5%,” OOCL said in its announcement.

Average total revenue per TEU increased by 88.3% year-on-year in the first quarter of last year, with OOCL's (COSCO-owned) container volume falling 9.2% to 1.79 million TEUs.
