Top 10 Vietnam's export markets for textile, garment, leather and shoes in the first 7 months of 2020
The export turnover of textile, garment, leather and footwear raw materials products in July 2020 reached over USD 128 million, up 3.3% compared to June, according to data of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
China, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Japan are the markets that Vietnam exported this product group with a turnover of over USD 10 million in July and all grew compared to the previous month, accounting for more than 45% of the export proportion. import products of textile, garment, leather and footwear materials and accessories nationwide.
Exported the above product group in the month to most of growth markets. In which Argentina increased the most with over 100% reaching USD 1.7 million; Finland increased 67%, reaching USD 0.8 million; Australia increased 40% to USD 2.5 million...
In contrast, some markets fell sharply such as the Philippines by 86%, Myanmar by 80% ...
Generally, in 7 months, the country exported more than USD 924 million, down 19% compared to the same period in 2019.
Cambodia is the leading market for consumption of this product group in Vietnam, reaching USD 128 million, accounting for 14% of the total export turnover of textile, garment, leather and footwear materials and accessories nationwide and down 19% compared to that of the country. with the same period in 2019.
Followed by Indonesia with USD 116 million, accounting for 13% and down 17%.
Exports of textile, garment, leather and footwear raw materials and accessories in the first 7 months increased significantly in markets such as Japan by 21%, reaching USD 66 million; Taiwan increased 29%, reaching USD 16 million; Australia increased by 29% to USD 11 million.
Meanwhile, in some places such as UK decreased 85% to reach USD 1.8 million; China decreased 40 %% to reach USD 106 million; India decreased 39% to USD 30 million.
