UWL cooperates with Swire Shipping to launch express shipping service from Ho Chi Minh to Seattle

UWL, a US Top 10 NVOCC (Non-Vessel-Operating Common Carrier) and a global 3PL service provider, has signed a contract with Swire Shipping to launch a brand new express container shipping service, exclusively between Ho Chi Minh City and the port of Seattle.
Service duration is biweekly with transit time of 18 days. This will be the fastest outbound shipping service from Vietnam to the US, according to the two partners.
“Customers have been asking for solutions during what has been an incredibly challenging market, and this service is part of our response. Congestion and rate spikes will come and go, but the root issues remain. US importers are pushing for more creativity and controlled solutions to manage supply chain risk," said UWL President Duncan Wright.
UWL says the service offers priority docking at both origin and destination, and has a dedicated equipment warehouse for suppliers in Ho Chi Minh City, including 6,000 containers entirely. New containers include 40 feet high and 20 feet high.
"Predictability is assured, as schedules are published six months in advance, with two sailings per month," said UWL.
Once in Seattle, containers in need of warehousing or distribution space can take advantage of UWL's sister company, World Distribution Services (WDS), whose new 300,000-square-foot facility near Tacoma, State Washington, just a short drive from the Port of Seattle, UWL announced.

This is the first sea container shipping service of an NVOCC on this route.
