Container volume at major Chinese ports up 4.7% in mid-November

Export container volume increased by 5.2% while domestic volume increased by 3.2%. In which, Dalian port has a growth rate of 20.8%. Export container volume also continued to increase during mid-November.

Cargo throughput at major central coastal ports increased by 1.08%. International trade goods volume increased by 1.35% while domestic volume increased by 0.84%.

Crude oil shipments at major coastal ports increased by 7.9%, especially Yantai port with a growth of 73% while Dalian port grew by 54% over the same period last year.

Metal ore shipments at China's major ports increased by 9.9 percent year-on-year, while port inventories increased by 4.39%. In which, Ningbo-Zhoushan port has a growth rate of 27%.

In mid-November, the three main ports on the Yangtze River, Nanjing, Wuhan, and Chongqing, saw growth of 11.3% and 15.8% respectively in cargo throughput and container volume.
