Container volume throughput at eight major Chinese ports increased 7.4% in early September.
The ports of Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen all recorded growth of over 10%.
Cargo throughput of major coastal ports increased 9% year-on-year and exported cargo volume increased 16.5% in early September.
Crude oil shipments at major coastal ports increased 23.4% over the same period last year, of which the Rizhao port achieved 155.6% growth rate.
Metal ore shipments at major Chinese ports increased 18.8% year-on-year, of which the Rizhao port reporting a 73.8% growth rate.
Due to the delays of boats caused by flooding along the Yangtze River last month, the resumption of the local port was delayed around early September. Cargo throughput of Nanjing port, Wuhan port and Chongqing Port fell 10.4% year-on-year while container volumes increase 6%
