Hapag-Lloyd announces new GRI from Asia to destinations in Central and South America
Hapag-Lloyd Shipping Line has announced a new General Rate Increase (GRI) expected to take effect for sailings from Asia (excluding Japan) to Latin America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, starting from March 1, 2024.
This general price increase applies to all 20' feet and 40' feet dry containers, including 40' tall containers, NOR (non-operating reefer) containers and will be in effect until further notice. new notification.
Details of the increase are as follows:
- 500 USD/ 20' Dry Container
- 800 USD/ 40' Dry Container
- 800 USD/40' High Cube Container
- 800 USD/40’ Non-operating Reefer Container
The geographical range of Asian countries (except Japan) that will apply this GRI includes: China, Macau, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia , Laos, Brunei, Taiwan (China) and Hong Kong (China) to Latin America, Mexico, Caribbean and Central America including the following countries: Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Chile, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay.
