Kuehne+Nagel to Acquire Aerospace Logistics Specialist Eastway

Global logistics group Kuehne+Nagel has announced its intention to acquire Eastway Global Forwarding Ltd., a leading provider of aviation logistics services. This deal will significantly expand Kuehne+Nagel’s global aviation capabilities and support growth in the rapidly expanding aviation sector.
Eastway, headquartered in Ireland, operates in 130 countries and is known for its specialized services, including:
• Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) support
• Aircraft engine logistics
• Aviation warehousing
• Customs brokerage
• Full lifecycle services for aircraft leasing companies.
The aircraft leasing market, an area of Eastway's strength, now controls more than half of the world's fleet and is forecast to grow from $187 billion in 2024 to $565 billion by 2034.
Mr. Yngve Ruud, Member of the Management Board responsible for Air Logistics at Kuehne+Nagel, said: “Kuehne+Nagel gains a proven aerospace logistics leader with a strong client base. This bolt-on acquisition strengthens our global offering and accelerates our aerospace growth strategy.”
Eastway CEO Frank Junior McNamara said that combining Eastway's industry expertise with Kuehne+Nagel's global scale will create new growth opportunities and expand service capabilities.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Upon completion, Eastway will operate as a subsidiary of Kuehne+Nagel.
