OOCL's revenue decreased in Q1 2024 despite container volume growth

According to a report by OOCL (Orient Overseas Container Line), in the first quarter of 2024, the company's total revenue decreased by 9% over the same period last year to 2 billion USD.

However, its total container throughput increased by 3.4% to 1.8 million TEU, with load capacity also increasing by 2.2%. Besides. Overall load factor increases by 0.9% over the same period in 2023.

OOCL said average revenue per TEU decreased by 12% compared to the first quarter of the previous year.
