Wan Hai and Interasia Restructure NS5 Service and Launch New TVS Service Connecting Southeast Asia

According to market analyst Alphaliner, Wan Hai Lines and Interasia Lines are preparing to implement significant changes to the NS5 service starting next month, alongside the official launch of a brand-new service designated as TVS.

NS5 Service Restructuring: Adding Phuoc An, Withdrawing from Taiwan

Under the revised configuration of the NS5 service, there will be major shifts in port calls:

•    In Japan: The call at Kawasaki will be replaced by Chiba.

•    Omissions: Calls at Taipei and Taichung will be removed from the itinerary.

•   Additions: New calls will be introduced, including Xiamen, Shekou, and Nansha in China, as well as Phuoc An port in Vietnam.

Following these adjustments, the updated rotation for the NS5 service will be: Tokyo – Yokohama – Chiba – Xiamen – Shekou – Nansha – Port Kelang – Singapore – Phuoc An – Shekou – Tokyo.

Launch of the New TVS Service

Coinciding with these changes, Wan Hai and Interasia have introduced the new TVS service aimed at maintaining connectivity for the ports removed from the NS5 rotation. The TVS service will be operated by a fleet of three vessels with an average capacity of approximately 1,900 TEU.

According to Alphaliner, the rotation for the TVS service will be: Kaohsiung – Taipei – Taichung – Ho Chi Minh City (Cat Lai) – Port Kelang – Penang – Port Kelang – Hong Kong – Kaohsiung.

These service adjustments reflect the partners' efforts to optimize regional coverage and maintain effective connectivity across the East Asian and Southeast Asian markets.
