Taicang Port occupies 38.8 kilometers of waterfront on the Yangtze River with a wharf with excellent deep draft. The waterfront area boasts stable shoreline conditions and deep water access, so Taicang Port is ideal for a container transshipment port.

Taicang Port handles containers, dry bulk and petrochemical products with 48 berths (24 berths with capacity for 10,000 DWT vessels) and is designed to handle up to 76 million tons of cargo and 2.35 million TEUs. container cargo per year. The access channel to Taicang Port has a navigability depth of 12.5 meters (41 feet) that can support 70,000 DWT bulk carriers and fourth-generation container ships. 6. Common fees and surcharges in ocean container shipping
- O/F (Ocean Freight)
Ocean freight is the amount that the charterer has to pay to the shipping line or freight forwarding company for the carriage to bring the goods to the destination and ready to deliver to the consignee.

- BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor)
