Port of Ashdod Enters World's Top 10 Most Reliable Ports for the First Time

The Port of Ashdod has just reached a significant milestone with its first-ever inclusion in the Global Port Reliability Index, published by the leading maritime data analysis firm, Sea-Intelligence. Notably, in its debut appearance, the Port of Ashdod secured an outstanding 9th place out of 202 ranked ports worldwide, thereby affirming its position among the most reliable seaports globally.

The Sea-Intelligence index is considered a global benchmark, evaluating ports based on stringent criteria such as schedule adherence, the accuracy of forecasts provided to shipping lines, and operational resilience in the face of heavy vessel traffic. Based on 14 years of historical port call data, the index reflects a port's ability to provide consistent, transparent, and efficient service – factors that are increasingly critical for global shipping lines.

Commenting on this achievement, Shaul Schneider, Chairman of the Ashdod Port Company's Board of Directors, called it a strategic breakthrough: "Being ranked in this prestigious index, positions the Port of Ashdod as a key player in the global logistics arena. This is a strategic achievement that reflects an ongoing, in-depth transformation involving substantial investment in infrastructure, technology, and our human capital.”
