COSCO Shipping will launch a new car shipping service from China to multiple ports in the Mediterranean region starting in March 2025.
This will be COSCO Shipping's fifth international shipping service, following previous routes connecting China to ports in the Persian Gulf, South Africa, Europe and South America.
COSCO Shipping's China-Mediterranean service will operate once a month and will pass through major ports in the Mediterranean, including Piraeus (Greece) and Livorno (Italy).
Part of the car cargo unloaded at Mediterranean ports can be further transported to other countries in Europe and North Africa, such as Egypt, Romania, Cyprus, France, Spain, Morocco, Tunisia, Malta and Slovenia.
The service will also apply COSCO Shipping's car shipping tracking platform, which provides a variety of important data, including the exact location of the car on the ship throughout the journey, allowing customers to closely monitor the status of their cargo.
