Etihad Cargo Posts Impressive 2025 Results: Revenue Grows 8%, Solidifying Global Logistics Leadership

Etihad Cargo, the logistics arm of Etihad Airways, has announced exceptional performance for 2025, with revenue climbing 8% year-on-year. The carrier successfully transported 703,000 leg tonnes, marking a 9% growth in volume. These results reflect sustained demand across key trade lanes and the superior performance of the carrier’s specialized product portfolio.

Robust Breakthroughs in Specialized Verticals

The year 2025 witnessed remarkable growth across Etihad Cargo’s core specialized segments:

●    LiveAnimals: Recorded an impressive 121% year-on-year increase, supported by the carrier's expertise in handling sensitive live animal shipments.

●    FlightValet: Surged by 174% following a series of product enhancements tailored to the luxury automotive transport market.

●    FlyCulture: Grew by 89%, fueled by the demand for transporting high-value artworks, cultural heritage items, and museum exhibitions.

●    PharmaLife: Expanded by 22% due to increased team capacity and infrastructure for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical logistics.

Network Expansion and Strategic Partnerships

Through its strategic partnership with SF Airlines, Etihad Cargo has emerged as the largest cargo operator between Mainland China and the Middle East. This collaboration has fortified critical trade corridors for e-commerce, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.

The Joint Business Agreement has deepened connectivity between Abu Dhabi and key Chinese hubs, creating an integrated network linking Shenzhen and Ezhou. This further positions Abu Dhabi as a premier global logistics gateway.

To meet surging demand, the carrier expanded freighter services across major global hubs, including Shenzhen, Ezhou, Hong Kong, Riyadh, Paris, and Frankfurt, alongside new deployments from Phnom Penh and East Midlands. The fleet was also bolstered by securing dedicated capacity from a Boeing 777F operated by Atlas Air, bringing Etihad Cargo’s total freighter fleet to six aircraft.

Digital Transformation and Operational Efficiency

In 2025, Etihad Cargo launched SmartTrack - a new AI-powered solution designed to provide proactive shipment visibility. This advanced real-time monitoring offers an end-to-end tracking solution supported by the Internet of Things (IoT) and data analytics.

Operational performance remained strong throughout the year. Etihad Cargo achieved a Delivered As Promised (DAP) rate of 88% and an On-Time Performance (OTP) rate of 81%, reaffirming its commitment to reliability and service excellence across its network.
