On June 24, COSCO Shipping's SEA3 service officially opened, the first sailing with the Xin Fei Zhou departing from Yantian port, China.

The ship carried 7,400 TEUs of household goods and e-commerce goods to the port of Long Beach in the United States.

Four days later, the Hong Kong-flagged container ship OOCL London also departed from Xiamen to Long Beach, marking the start of this service in the Chinese port.

The SEA3 service is operated by six ships, calling at the ports of Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Yantian and Long Beach (USA).

"The 'dual-route' setup with SEA routes ensures fast, efficient service for our clients" COSCO Shipping said in a statement.
